Canadian Black Mussels - Cooked Frozen 1kg
Sustainably harvested black mussels from the cold waters of New Foundland, Canada by Green Seafoods, the product is cooked live in seawater and blast frozen to achieve maximum freshness. After testing this product we feel that it is 90% as good as a fresh/live product but with 100% more convenience.
Moulles Mariniere Recipe
· Defrost the mussels in your refrigerator, place in a bowl and retain the juices
· In a large pot fry 1 medium sliced onions and 3 minced garlic cloves in 100 grams of butter until soft.
· Add 100 ml of dry white wine and the juice of the mussels and bring to a rapid boil for around 2 minutes
· Add 100 ml of whipping cream and bring to boil, add a handful of chopped fresh parsley
· Add the mussels to the pot, stir them through the wine & cream mixture until heated through
· Serve in large bowls with a chunk of crusty bread and a glass of the dry white wine.
